On Saturday the 18th of June, the Inaugural International Tai Chi Wellbeing Festival was held at Coolibah Downs private estate. The event was presented by Hong Ren Tang Wellbeing Health Association and The Tourism Confucius Institute at Griffith University, specially sponsored by Wanda and sponsored by Ridong Group and China Southern Airline.
The Festival comprised a compelling Tai Chi performance, calligraphy demonstrations, Cheongsam show, a live auction and raffle, a Health Taiji lecture as well as other free, entertaining activities.
All went well at the Inaugural International Tai Chi Well-being Festival with a turn out of around 250 people. Incredibly, the event organisers decided to donate all proceeds from the Festival to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital to help save, protect and care for Native Australian Wildlife.
The total donations raised from the Inaugural International Tai Chi Well-being Festival exceeded $2000. With the average cost of treatment for a patient at the Hospital being $60, the donations raised from the Festival will help save over 35 patients.
A special thank you to the organisers of this amazing event for their generous donation and support!
