PATIENT OF THE WEEK
Meet Goji, this young Common Brushtail Possum is a very sweet boy. Poor Goji was sadly hit by a car and has been recovering from his injuries at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital for the past week. Gojis teeth were broken during the accident so he is being spoilt with soft fruit and vegetable smoothies each day.
Check out this adorable footage of Goji being spoon fed; he still has a few more weeks of recovery before he can be released back into the wild but in the meantime Goji is enjoying being spoilt by his veterinary nurse Natasha.
This species is common but they are suffering the effects of habitat destruction. Male Brushtail possums are territorial and are often forced into the roof of suburban homes to live.
