ACM40412 Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing is a nationally recognised course being delivered in collaboration with Northcoast TAFE and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. This course offers a unique interactive opportunity that allows students to learn specialised skills needed in caring for sick or injured animals during all avenues of admission, examination, diagnosis, treatment, surgery, post operative care, and rehabilitation.
There are limited positions and the selected Veterinary Nurse students enjoy a wide range of responsibilities and become part of the team, playing an integral role in the veterinary hospital under the supervision and direction of the veterinarians, and nursing staff.
The Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing has a very challenging and rewarding full-time study program (20 hours per week over 12 months), consisting of:
- 6hrs face to face training at the Kingscliff Campus
- 6hrs distance study
- 8hrs work placement in a veterinary hospital
